Angelina Jolie Vs The Press

Angelina Jolie censored all interviews and banned FOX News from the red carpet premiere of her new film, A Mighty Heart, which ironically is about the freedom of press. All the journalists who wanted to have a chance of speaking to Angelina Jolie on the premiere were made to sign an agreement with quite a few restrictions. Some of the restrictions were...

Do not ask her any “personal relationship” questions
The interview may only be used to promote the movie
The interview will not disparage Jolie
If any rules are broken, the interview tape will not be released

However, USA Today and the Associated Press both declined to be involved in the interviews under such restrictions. As a result, Fox News reports that Angelina Jolie decided to terminate any and all print interviews after she heard the reaction from USA Today and AP. Fox News also reports that Angelina Jolie had asked Paramount Pictures publicists to ban Fox News Channel from the premiere, though Paramount did intervene to allow a Fox camera crew to cover the event.

Meanwhile, the movie she was promoting is about what happens when the freedom of the press is infringed upon, and the premiere was sponsored by Reporters Without Borders.

FOX News is surely not very happy about the incident. This is what they had to say...

The fact is, Angelina Jolie — despite her posturing as Goodwill Ambassador to the world — is just like everyone else. She’s only different in that she’s created rules for herself that are so far beyond the norm of self-absorbed celebrity nuttiness, that she finally went too far...The hypocrisy and arrogance were overwhelming.

Jessica Simpson Phone Fight!

Jessica Simpson and her on-again off-again boyfriend John Mayer are having fights. John Mayer was at the Sunset Marquis in West Hollywood on Monday, and according to witnesses, was ready to relax by the pool until Jessica Simpson called up. They had a long fight over the phone at the end of which Mayer asked her to stop trying to communicate with him. Here's an excerpt from Celebrity Babylon...

John Mayer, 29, was yelling into his phone with his head down outside by the pool on Monday morning, June 11. Says the hotel guest, "He said 'Jess' a bunch of times, so I would think he was talking to Jessica Simpson. He looked wiped out, circles under his eyes, and some pal was grabbing him coffee while he was having this fight over the phone. There was a lot I couldn't hear, but at the end before he hung up, he told her to stop calling, stop texting, stop all of it -- leave me alone! He was shaking his head back and forth like, 'God, make her stop,' and his friend was sort of chuckling at him." Jessica Simpson,26, is shamelessly chasing her on-again off-again boyfriend John Mayer, and it looks like he's finally telling her "enough!"

Paris Hilton Released - Sent Back Again

The national obsession with celebrity collided head-on with the more serious issue of the equal application of justice on Friday, as a judge sent the socialite Paris Hilton back to jail some 36 hours after she was released for an unspecified medical problem. However, Superior Court Judge Michael T. Sauer was calm but apparently irked by Sheriff Lee Baca's decision to release Hilton three days into her sentence due to an unspecified "medical condition."

I at no time condoned the actions of the sheriff and at no time told him I approved the actions...At no time did I approve the defendant being released from custody to her home.

Hilton, 26, wearing no makeup and with her hair disheveled, sobbed and screamed, "Mom, this isn't right," as she was taken from the packed courtroom by deputies.

Akon Throws Kid Off Stage - Being Investigated

Akon seems to be making a lot of news lately with his bold concert stunts. A footage leaked onto the Internet recently showing Akon toss a young male into the crowd during a concert. And this video has led the Fishkill, New York police to investigate into the matter. However, it seemed to be a stunt because no one really looked concerned in the video.

Check out the video of an object being thrown at Akon as he talks to the crowd. Once a young male is identified as the culprit, Akon orders his security to bring him onstage. The crowd cheers as Akon removes his shirt, lifts the boy like a WWF wrestler and tosses him off the stage into the crowd. There is no word as to if this was a stunt or if the boy was injured.

Akon recently got into some trouble for his on stage sexual performance which included a 14-year-old girl in Trinidad. As a result he lost his endorsement deal with Verizon. During the April 12 concert in Trinidad, Akon announced a “dance contest” that featured a grand-prize trip to Africa. Danah Alleyne, the 15-year-old daughter of a pastor, won the “contest” – but the prize was not a trip to Africa. Akon announced that he was “Africa,” and proceeded to simulate multiple sexual positions with the girl as the crowd cheered.

Alleyne apologized in public last month after a local TV station aired the footage.

I got carried away...I started to dance, as well, but I never thought it was going to be like that. I was shocked. My head was hitting the floor.

Verizon said they have removed Akon’s featured ringtones, as well as music and artwork from Akon's platinum-selling album “Konvicted” from Verizon Wireless stores and handsets.

Paris Hilton Already In Jail

The Hilton babe surprises us again. The 26-year-old celebrity hotel heiress waited until just after 11:30 p.m. on June 3 to check into a Southern California detention center, where she will serve approximately three weeks for violating her probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case.

The heiress worked the red carpet at the MTV Movie Awards Sunday afternoon, then traded her strapless designer gown for a jail-issue jumpsuit and a solitary cell. Hilton surrendered to sheriff's deputies after making a surprise Sunday afternoon appearance at the MTV Movie Awards. She was booked, fingerprinted, photographed and medically screened, before being given a standard-issue jumpsuit at the Century Regional Detention Facility, an all-women's jail in the Los Angeles suburb of Inglewood.The sheriff's department online booking site shows a projected release date of June 26.

Before turning in she spoke to the media and said

I am trying to be strong right now...I'm ready to face my sentence. Even though this is a really hard time, I have my family, my friends and my fans to support me, and that's really helpful.

Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore described Hilton as helpful, focused, and cooperative, said she does not presently have a cellmate. Hilton's booking photo showed the heiress wearing what appeared to be a V-neck shirt, eye makeup and lip gloss that highlighted a slight smile. Her long blond hair was draped over one shoulder. After checking in, Hilton was given her first meal: cereal, bread and juice.

She will be housed in the “special needs” unit of the 13-year-old jail, separate from most of its 2,200 inmates. The unit contains 12 two-person cells reserved for police officers, public officials, celebrities and other high-profile inmates. Hilton's cell has two bunks, a table, a sink, a toilet and a small window.

Like other inmates in that unit, Hilton will take her meals in her cell and will be allowed outside the 12-foot-by-8-foot space for at least an hour each day to shower, watch TV in the day room, participate in outdoor recreation or talk on the telephone. No cell phones or BlackBerrys are permitted in the facility, even for visitors.

The jail, a two-story concrete building next to train tracks and beneath a bustling freeway, has been an all-female facility since March 2006. It's located in an industrial area about 12 miles southeast of downtown Los Angeles. She has already spent one night in jail...22 nights remaining!

Paris Hilton Accused Of Plagiarism

It's just not going right for the millionaire hotel-heiress, Paris Hilton. It's the week she goes to jail, and there's a new scandal spreading. Music websites are now reporting that the pop princess and her song writing team are being sued for plagiarism over her debut single Stars are Blind.

The Sparta Florida Music Group are saying that parts of the song were lifted from the UB40 classic Kingston Town. Sparta Florida are claiming breach of copyright and they intend to use evidence from a musicologist and internet articles to prove their case. Last week Warner Bros. commented,

We are not expecting any new Paris Hilton material in the foreseeable future.

However, Paris is not being dropped off the label immediately.

More bad new? Well, an inmate, Susannah Johnson, who was released on Saturday said, Paris Hilton needs to watch out as inmates were really angry at Paris, because she will receive special treatment . Officers were making room for the starlet at the expense of other inmates. The jail has only 2,200 beds and it is already crowded. She really seems to have invited more than she can handle this time.

Lindsay's Ex Calum Best In Cocaine Hooker Orgy

After Lindsay Lohan's arrest last week for DUI, it's time for her ex-boyfriend and soccer legend George Best's son Calum Best. Calum was recently filmed in a cocaine orgy with two hookers. He was filmed preparing and snorting "lines" of the Class A drug and engaging in different sexual activities with the two prostitutes. It's shown that he even snorted a line off the body of one of the girls.

After being confronted with the footage, the model told Britain's The Sun newspaper,

I've been stupid. I regret all of it. Whether it's drink, drugs or women, there comes a time when you think, 'I shouldn't be doing that.
I am a young man and I like to indulge, but look where it has got me - I feel ashamed.

The shocking video was allegedly filmed after he returned from a romantic get-away with Lindsay in the Bahamas earlier this month. However, The 26-year-old model is desperate not to destroy his life like his alcoholic father and football legend George. He has decided to check in to some rehab to mend his ways...
